Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix in a Jar
What you’ll need:
-1/2 cup sugar
-1/2 cup chopped pecans
-1 cup chocolate chips
-1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
-2 1/2 cups flour mixed with
---1 tsp. baking soda and
---1/4 tsp. salt
 
What you’ll do:
Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar. Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient.
 
Instructions for your gift recipient:
Chocolate Chip Cookies
1. Empty jar of cookie mix into large mixing bowl. Use your hands to thoroughly blend mix.
2. Add: 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine, not diet, very soft. 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 tsp. vanilla (opt.)
3. Mix until completely blended. You will need to finish mixing with your hands
4. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Place 2" apart on sprayed baking sheets.
5. Bake at 350° for 13 to 15 minutes. Cool 10 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to racks to finish cooling. These cookies don't firm up until completely cooled. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.

Rocky Road Brownie Mix in a Jar
What you’ll need:
-1 1/4 cups sugar mixed with 1/4 cup cocoa
-1 cup flour
-1/4 cup more cocoa powder
Mix the following 3 ingredients together and place in a zipper sandwich baggie:
-1 cup mini marshmallows
-1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
-3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
 
What you’ll do:
Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar. Press each layer firmly in place.
Clean inside of jar with a paper towel after adding cocoa.
Place bag of topping ingredients into jar last, pressing in firmly to fit.
 
Instructions for your gift recipient:
Rocky Road Brownies
1. Remove bag of topping ingredients. Set aside.
2. Empty brownie mix into large bowl. Blend.
3. Add: 1 stick butter or margarine,not diet,melted 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla (opt.)
4. Mix until well blended.
5. Pour batter into sprayed 9" × 9" pan.
6. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
7. Remove from oven - sprinkle topping ingredients evenly over batter. Bake 15 more minutes.
8. Cool completely. Cut into squares. 16 brownies.

Orange Chocolate Brownie Mix in a Jar
What you'll need:
-1/2 cup orange flavored breakfast drink (like Tang®)
-1/2 cup sugar
-1/2 cup more orange flavored breakfast drink
-1/2 cup more sugar
-2/3 cup cocoa powder
-1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
-1 1/4 cups flour mixed with
---1 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt
 
Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar.
Press each layer firmly in place.
Clean inside of jar with a paper towel after adding cocoa.
Place flour mixture into a thin sandwich baggie to keep it from sifting through the nuts.
 
Instructions for your gift recipient:
Orange Chocolate Brownies
1. Empty jar of brownie mix into large mixing bowl. Empty flour from baggie and discard baggie. Thoroughly blend mix.
2. Add: 2 sticks butter or margarine,not diet,melted 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla (opt.)
3. Mix until well blended.
4. Pour batter into sprayed 9" × 13" pan.
5. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
6. Cool. Cut into squares.
Makes 24 -30 brownies.

German Chocolate Brownie Mix in a Jar
What you'll need:
-1 cup sugar
-2/3 cup cocoa powder
-3/4 cup more sugar
-1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

-1/2 cup flaked coconut
-1 cup flour
 
Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar.
Press each layer firmly in place.
Clean inside of jar with a paper towel after adding cocoa.
Press flour in to jar last - adding in two portions, pressing in very firmly.
 
Instructions for your gift recipient:
German Chocolate Brownies
1. Empty jar of brownie mix into large mixing bowl. Blend thoroughly.
2. Add: 2 sticks butter or margarine,not diet, melted 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla (opt.)
3. Mix until well blended.
4. Pour batter into sprayed 9" × 13" pan.
5. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
6. Cool. Cut into squares.

Chocolate Mint Pattie Brownie Mix in a Jar
 
What you’ll need:
-1 cup sugar
-2/3 cup cocoa powder
-1 cup more sugar -3/4 cup chopped York Peppermint Patties® candies
-1 1/4 cup flour
 
What you’ll do:
Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar.
Press each layer firmly in place.
Clean inside of jar with a paper towel after adding cocoa.
Place flour into a thin sandwich baggie to keep from sifting through candies.
 
Opt: Cut some additional candy into 1/2" squares - place 24 of these into a baggie and tape to lid of jar underneath fabric topper.
Add an instruction between #4 and #5 below that says: "Space candy squares evenly over batter."
 
Instructions for your gift recipient:
Chocolate Mint Patties Brownies
1. Empty jar of brownie mix into large mixing bowl. Empty flour from baggie and discard baggie. Thoroughly blend mix.
2. Add: 2 sticks butter or margarine,not diet,melted 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla (opt.)
3. Mix until well blended.
4. Pour batter into sprayed 9" × 13" pan.
5. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut
Cookie Mix in a Jar
-1 1/4 cups sugar
-1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts (part can be chopped whole almonds)
-3 (1.4 oz.) Nestles® White Crunch candy bars, coarsely chopped (press this layer in very hard)
-2 cups flour mixed with
-1/2 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. baking powder
 
What you’ll do:
Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar.
Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient
 
 
Instructions for your gift recipient:
White Chocolate
Macadamia Nut Cookies
1. Empty cookie mix into large mixing bowl. Use your hands to thoroughly blend mix.
2. Add:
1 stick butter or margarine, not diet, very soft
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla (opt.)
3. Mix until completely blended. You will need to finish mixing with your hands. It will take a while to mix into a smooth dough.
4. Shape into walnut sized balls.
Place 2" apart on sprayed baking sheets.
5. Bake at 375° for 12 to 14 minutes until tops are very lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to racks to finish cooling.
Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.

- 1 1/2 cups vanilla chips (like choc. chips, but vanilla)
- 1 3/4 cups flour mixed with
--- 1/2 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. baking powder  
 
What you’ll do:
Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar. Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient.

For the jar:
-1 cup sugar
-1 1/2 cups crushed potato chips (crush then measure)
-2/3 cup chopped pecans (I misspoke in the video!)
-2 1/2 cups flour mixed with
---1 tsp. baking powder  
 
Instructions to give to your recipient:
1. Empty jar of cookie mix into large mixing bowl. Use your hands to thoroughly blend mix.
2. Add: 2 sticks butter or margarine, not diet, very soft. 1 tsp. vanilla (opt.) (These cookies don't require an egg.)
3. Mix until completely blended. You will need to finish mixing with your hands
4. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Place 2" apart on sprayed baking sheets. Flatten with your frigertips.
5. Bake at 350° for 14 to 18 minutes until edges are very lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to racks to fnish cooling.
